Kedahhun, 3rd on ‘Billboard 200’…BTS enters at 10th place

Netflix's movie "K-Pop Demon Hunters" (directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Apelhans) is making a long run on the Billboard charts. BTS also made an impressive showing.

On the 28th (Korean time), Billboard in the U.S. released a chart preview article. The OST for "K-Pop Demon Hunters" secured the 3rd position on the main album chart, "Billboard 200."

Despite being in its 5th week since release, the ranking has risen. It climbed 2 spots from last week’s 5th place. The OST is creating a new record by maintaining a position in the top 10 for 5 consecutive weeks.

"Billboard 200" is the main chart of Billboard, utilizing metrics such as physical album sales, streaming equivalent units (SEA), and track equivalent album units (TEA).

The OST for "K-Pop Demon Hunters" sold album units equivalent to 89,000 during the tracking period, an increase of 5 percentage points compared to the previous week.

BTS also made it onto the charts. Their live album "Permission to Dance on Stage Live" ranked 10th on "Billboard 200."

This album is a live performance album without new songs, capturing the essence of the namesake tour that took place from 2021 to 2022. It includes 22 tracks.

To date, BTS has placed 8 albums in the top 10 of "Billboard 200," setting a record for the most entries in the top 10 by a Korean artist.

"Permission to Dance on Stage Live" sold 43,000 album units, with 36,000 physical albums, 5,000 SEA, and 2,000 TEA.
