The Netflix animation 'K-pop Demon Hunters' OST 'Golden' has set a new personal best on the Billboard charts.
Billboard announced on the 29th via social media that "'Golden' secured the 2nd place on the Billboard 'Hot 100'." This marks a rise of 2 positions from the previous week.
'Golden' entered the chart at 81st place on the 3rd. Since then, it has climbed in ranks, moving to 23rd, 6th, 4th, and now 2nd place over the weeks.
The 'Hot 100' chart ranks songs based on a combination of streaming data, airplay (radio broadcast scores), and sales figures.
'Golden' recorded approximately 25.7 million streams, an increase of about 36.7% compared to the previous week. Airplay scored 3.7 million points, and sales reached 4,000 copies.
It is also achieving remarkable success in other Billboard categories. It has once again topped the 'Global 200' (excluding the U.S.) and 'Global 200' charts.
Billboard highlighted, "Huntrexx has become the first female group to achieve 1st place on the 'Global 200' chart with 'Golden'."
Other OSTs from 'K-pop Demon Hunters' are also gaining popularity. 'Strategy,' sung by TWICE, entered the 'Hot 100' chart at 92nd place on the same day.
