KBS has canceled the red carpet for this year’s Entertainment Awards. On the 13th, KBS announced that the red carpet for the ‘2024 KBS Entertainment Awards’ scheduled for the 21st will not be held this year.

This decision seems to have been influenced by the political situation concerning President Yoon Suk-yeol’s impeachment. The situation of impeachment rallies held across Seoul every weekend also played a part. The award ceremony will take place at the KBS New Building Public Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

The decision to cancel was made due to the congestion in Yeouido caused by the rallies. Meanwhile, the ‘2024 KBS Entertainment Awards’ will be broadcast on the 21st at 9:20 PM, hosted by singers Lee Joon, Lee Young-ji, and Lee Chan-won.
