A JTBC official confirmed in a phone call with 'Dispatch' on the 8th that "Kang Ji-young will be resigning from JTBC effective the 11th."

Her future plans have not yet been decided. The official stated, "Kang plans to take her time finding a new nest."

Kang began to gain recognition in 2011 through MBC-TV's announcer audition program "Our Saturday Night: New Employees," and she joined JTBC that same year through a special recruitment.

From 2022 to 2024, she served as the weekend anchor for the company's main news program, "Newsroom."

She has also made a mark in the field of culture and entertainment, appearing in JTBC programs such as "Class is in Session – Do You Have Questions?", "Extreme Tour," and "Please Speak Up."

Currently, she is hosting the YouTube entertainment program "Gonari-ja." With her elegant appearance and bold speaking style, she has risen as a new star in the YouTube entertainment scene.
