The Netflix movie "Jeon, Ran" (directed by Kim Sang-man) has released character posters and character stills featuring Kang Dong-won, Park Jung-min, Cha Seung-won, Kim Shin-rok, Jin Sun-kyu, and Jung Sung-il.

Kang Dong-won plays the role of Chun Young, a slave with the highest level of swordsmanship. He is determined to regain his original status as a free man.

He showcased a new face we haven't seen before. Kang Dong-won sent a look of determination toward the camera, delicately expressing the complex inner emotions of Chun Young.

Park Jung-min takes on the role of Jong-ryeo, the only son of the highest military family in Joseon. Although he forms a friendship with Chun Young that transcends social status, he vows revenge on him for killing his family.

He deeply portrayed the vast emotional turbulence experienced by Jong-ryeo. The two former friends meet again as rivals—one as a martial artist and the other as a soldier. This raises curiosity about their story.

Cha Seung-won plays King Seonjo, a monarch who fled abandoning his people. He completed the character uniquely, focusing solely on asserting royal authority instead of attending to the people's sentiments.

Kim Shin-rok transformed into Beomdong, a guerilla fighter from a humble background. Jin Sun-kyu portrayed Kim Ja-ryeong, a leader of the people. Jung Sung-il metamorphosed into Kenshin, a Japanese vanguard commander.

An official mentioned, "Depicting the narratives of those who fought against their destinies during turbulent times will captivate viewers worldwide."

Meanwhile, "Jeon, Ran" is a historical drama set against the backdrop of the Japanese invasion of Korea. It has been selected as the opening film for the 29th Busan International Film Festival. It will be released on the 11th of next month.
