Kakao Group Donates 1.5 Billion Won for Flood Recovery… 110,000 People Join 'Together for Good'
Kakao Group has recently decided to donate a total of 1.5 billion won to assist those affected by the recent heavy rains.
This donation was supported by five major affiliates, showing their commitment to coexistence with the community.

Five Major Kakao Affiliates Contribute 1.5 Billion Won
According to Kakao, this donation includes contributions from the headquarters, Kakao Bank (500 million won), Kakao Pay (300 million won), as well as Kakao Games and Kakao Entertainment (each contributing 100 million won).
The donation will be delivered through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and the Community Chest of Korea, and it is expected to be used for providing emergency supplies to flood victims and for restoration efforts in affected areas.
A company representative stated, "We hope this can provide practical help for those who have lost their homes due to the heavy rains."
'Together for Good' Raises 300 Million Won with Participation from 110,000 People

Fundraising efforts were not limited to corporate contributions. Kakao’s social contribution platform, 'Together for Good,' launched an online fundraising campaign in collaboration with ordinary citizens on the 18th.
As of the 22nd, the number of participants exceeded 110,000, and the accumulated donations surpassed 330 million won. The funds will be used for emergency supplies such as drinking water, daily necessities, and clothing for the affected residents, as well as support for recovery efforts.
Donating Just by Leaving a Comment… Expanding 'Digital Donation Culture'

On the 'Together for Good' fundraising page, users can directly enter amounts to donate, and simply leaving a comment at the bottom of the page also constitutes a donation. Kakao operates a matching system where an additional 1,000 won is donated for each comment, helping more citizens participate in positive impact without burden.
A Kakao representative remarked, "We believe our role is to create a culture of giving that everyone can participate in," and added, "We will continue to actively fulfill our responsibilities in situations where social solidarity is needed."
