A controversy arose when a video combining suggestive lyrics with the Netflix OST 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (hereinafter 'K-Dehun') was circulated. Recently, an AI-generated creation titled 'Soda Pop' spread primarily on YouTube and various online communities. This video added profanity and sexual expressions to the existing lyrics through artificial intelligence. It also included hashtags related to 'K-Dehun', making it accessible to young viewers, raising concerns about its potentially negative influence on children.
The art director of 'K-Dehun' also took action. On the 1st, he expressed his disappointment on social media, stating, "I was greatly disappointed by those who consume content that children also watch in this way." He explained, "I forwarded all the links and materials you sent me to Netflix. I have confirmed that the problematic video has been set to private." He hinted at legal action, emphasizing, "If a copy of the video is uploaded again, please let me know, and I will relay it to the Netflix legal team once more." The YouTube operator of the problematic video has since closed their channel. However, another YouTuber restored and re-uploaded the controversial video, later posting an apology.
