JYP Entertainment has contributed to the recovery efforts for the earthquake damage in Myanmar.
On the 9th, JYP donated 300 million KRW through the international relief and development NGO, World Vision. This donation is intended for the recovery efforts following the earthquake that occurred last March, as well as for supporting medical expenses for children.
The funds will be delivered to 11 villages in Mandalay Province, the area most affected by the earthquake. The money will be used for food, daily necessities, drinking water sanitation, medical expenses for children, and psychological and social support.
JYP expressed, "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, as well as to those who have lost their homes. We hope that the support for medical expenses will help the children and families quickly recover their daily lives and health."
Under the catchphrase "Every Dream Matters!" JYP has been engaging in social contribution activities. They are giving back to society with the love received from the public.
In particular, they have been focusing on supporting medical expenses for children. Since 2020, they have assisted a total of 2,167 children. The headquarters has provided approximately 5.1 billion KRW, while the Japanese branch has supported 48 million yen (approximately 400 million KRW).
Additionally, JYP donated 500 million KRW to aid in recovery efforts from the extensive wildfires that occurred in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions last March. They are consistently continuing their social contribution activities, regardless of domestic or international boundaries.
