Jung Yu-ra completely withdraws support for the ruling party… “I’d rather vote for the Democratic Party than you.”

Jung Yu-ra Declares Withdrawal of Support for People's Power After President Yoon Seok-yeol's Impeachment

Jung Yu-ra, the daughter of Choi Soon-sil (now known as Choi Seo-won), who is the main culprit in the Park Geun-hye administration scandal, announced her withdrawal of support for the People's Power party following the decision to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol.

Through her Facebook, Jung strongly criticized, "I completely withdraw my support for this crazy party." She expressed her disappointment in the People's Power by stating, "They sit back and watch twice. If this party produces a president, it will end up the same way again. It deserves to disappear."

Jung continued, "The party fees are a waste. Even after I did this much, there was no loyalty to uphold." She added, "I’d rather vote for the Democratic Party than you. I mean it." Immediately after the Constitutional Court’s decision to uphold the impeachment, she urged her supporters, saying, "Get a grip. Why are you falling apart?" and encouraged them not to give up.

She stated, "If you give up, it’s over. If there's nothing else to do, let's at least legally confront them and really grab them by the hair." She called for emotions to be controlled and for a calm response.

She further stated, "I won’t give up, so you all shouldn’t either. I will start consulting on what legal actions can be taken."

Jung has been vocal in opposing the impeachment of former President Yoon. She attended a rally organized by the Protestant group 'Save Korea' in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province on the 22nd of last month, where she expressed her opposition to the impeachment alongside lawmakers from the People's Power.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court unanimously decided to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol at 11:22 AM. The impeachment took immediate effect and as a result, President Yoon lost his position.

Former President Yoon expressed his gratitude through his legal team, saying, "I deeply thank everyone who supported and encouraged me despite my many shortcomings," and added, "I will always pray for beloved South Korea and its people."
