Actor Jung Il-woo has carried out a warm act of kindness. He donated all the proceeds from a charity bazaar.
On the 23rd, Jung Il-woo visited the Seoul branch of the Korean Red Cross in Jung-gu, Seoul. He donated 10 million won from the charity bazaar. The donation will be used to support children with rare diseases.
Last month, on the 30th, he held a charity bazaar called "Merry Giftmas" in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. He personally sold items such as clothes, shoes, and accessories that were his prized possessions, providing memories for over 1,000 visitors.
Jung Il-woo is actively working as a promotional ambassador for the Korean Red Cross. On the 11th of last month, he promised to donate the proceeds from the year-end bazaar at the "Red Cross Gala," a year-end charity fundraising event.
Jung Il-woo expressed, "Thanks to the many people who joined the bazaar, I was able to keep my promise. I hope the children struggling with rare diseases can welcome the new year healthily and warmly."
President Kim Cheol-soo of the Korean Red Cross expressed gratitude, saying, "The proceeds from the meaningful bazaar with fans will bring warmth and hope to the children fighting through illness."
Meanwhile, Jung Il-woo recently signed an exclusive contract with J1 International Company. He also announced his role in the Korea-Vietnam joint film "Going to Abandon Mom."
He is set to continue spreading positive influence as an ambassador for the Red Cross in January next year. He will participate in overseas volunteer mentoring activities for youth sponsored by Samsung.
