Actors Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min will portray a healing romance.
tvN's "Mother's Friend's Son" (written by Shin Ha-eun, directed by Yoo Jae-won) revealed the script reading session on the 10th. Jung Hae-in, Jung So-min, Kim Ji-eun, Yoon Ji-on, and others attended.
"Mother's Friend's Son" is a romantic comedy. It's a story about a woman trying to reboot her failed life and a man who represents her living dark past, unfolding a romance.
The script reading session was attended by director Yoo Jae-won, writer Shin Ha-eun, and the main and supporting actors. They showcased a lively performance in a congenial atmosphere.
They completed a chemistry filled with excitement. Jung Hae-in melted into the role of Choi Seung-hyo, the perfect "mom's friend's son" in terms of looks, personality, and ability.
Jung So-min took on the role of Bae Seok-ryu, a "mom's friend's daughter" whose life is in shambles. She dreams of rebooting her life and built a solid narrative through excellent pacing.
Kim Ji-eun played the role of Jeong Mo-eum, a paramedic. She is one of the close friends who knows the couple's dark history better than anyone. She showcased her focused acting skills.
Yoon Ji-on took on the role of Kang Dan-ho, a social news reporter. Moving next door to Mo-eum, he gets entangled beyond just being neighbors. He highlighted his tender side.
Additionally, Park Ji-young played Seok-ryu's mother, Na Mi-sook. She portrays a realistic mother-daughter relationship with Jung So-min. Jo Hyun-chul took on the role of Seok-ryu's father who runs a snack bar.
Jang Young-nam transformed into Seung-hyo's mother, Seo Hye-sook. She portrays a rivalry with Mi-sook. Lee Seung-joon took on the role of Seung-hyo's father, Choi Kyung-jong, a professor of emergency medicine.
The production team stated, "From the first meeting, it felt like old friends and neighbors coming together. Please look forward to their passionate performances and synergy."
Meanwhile, "Mother's Friend's Son" will premiere at 9:20 PM on the 17th of next month on tvN.
