Actors Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won are set to deliver a powerful performance ensemble, with their first two-shot revealed. Disney+ unveiled its 2025 original content lineup on the 7th, among which was a preview of “Polaris.” Stills and a teaser trailer were released for the first time.

Jun Ji-hyun was seen confessing, while Kang Dong-won was infiltrating somewhere with a gun. Hollywood actor John Cho stood with a serious face in front of the American flag. In the teaser, the chemistry between Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won stood out.

Kang Dong-won said, “I’ll take responsibility for her,” as he loaded a gun with a solemn expression. The two stood together in front of a moving train, with Kang Dong-won covering Jun Ji-hyun. Jun Ji-hyun asked, “Do you understand that I’m the boss, and can you unconditionally follow orders?”

“Polaris” (written by Jung Seo-kyung, directed by Kim Hee-won and Huh Myung-haeng) is the story of diplomat Moon Ju (played by Jun Ji-hyun) and special agent Sanho (played by Kang Dong-won) as they pursue the truth behind a massive case.

Jun Ji-hyun plays the role of diplomat Moon Ju, a former UN ambassador with a solid reputation in the international community, who unravels the truth behind a case with Sanho. Kang Dong-won plays the mysterious character Sanho, a top ace among international mercenaries shrouded in mystery regarding his nationality and past.

Kim Hae-sook takes on the role of South Korean President Chae Kyung-shin, and Hollywood actor John Cho makes an appearance as a U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, marking his first appearance in a Korean series. “Polaris” is directed by Kim Hee-won, known for “Queen of Tears,” “Little Women,” and “Vincenzo.”

The script is written by Jung Seo-kyung, known for “Mother” and “Little Women.” Director Kim expressed his anticipation, saying, “It is an honor to introduce ‘Polaris’ to the world,” and added, “It combines the beautiful writing of writer Jung Seo-kyung and the passionate acting of all the actors, with deep visuals crafted by the staff.”
