
Actress Jeon Ji-hyun has revealed a new persona.
The production team of the Disney+ original series "Polaris" (written by Jeong Seo-gyeong, directed by Kim Hee-won and Heo Myeong-haeng) released character stills on the 6th, showcasing the diverse aspects of Seo Moon-joo (played by Jeon Ji-hyun).
A scene captures her delivering a speech at an international conference, displaying an elegant demeanor. In a morning running scene, she demonstrates a resilient daily life.
Jeon Ji-hyun personally introduced her character, stating, "She is quiet yet steadfast, and a strong character," adding, "This was a character I wanted to challenge myself with as an actress."

"Polaris" is a romantic espionage thriller. UN Ambassador Seo Moon-joo (played by Jeon Ji-hyun) tracks down the mastermind behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate. Alongside special agent San Ho (played by Kang Dong-won), she confronts a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
Seo Moon-joo has shown her patriotism since childhood, studying with a Taegeukgi on her desk. After completing her studies in the United States, she became a diplomat and gained international acclaim by representing South Korea on the global stage.
Writer Jeong Seo-gyeong praised Jeon Ji-hyun, stating, "From the beginning, Seo Moon-joo was Jeon Ji-hyun. I thought about what colors she should show from the spectrum she possesses," further commenting that she is "an actress who demonstrates a deep understanding of her character."
"Polaris" will premiere three episodes on September 10. Starting from the 17th, two episodes will be released weekly, totaling nine episodes.
