
Actors Ju Ji-hoon and Jung Yoo-mi are entangled in a bad relationship.
The production team of tvN's new Friday-Saturday drama "Love on a Single Log Bridge" (written by Im Ye-jin, directed by Park Joon-hwa) has revealed the character relationships. It contains a history of bad relationships spanning three generations.
A variety of characters have been captured. Centered around Seok Ji-won (played by Ju Ji-hoon) and Yoon Ji-won (played by Jung Yoo-mi), it lists relationships from 18 years ago to the present. It promises to be a hub of intricate relationships.
Particularly, the two are each other's adversaries and first loves. Their relationship began with love and hate during their high school days. Even after 18 years, they continue to run parallel to each other.
A tumultuous romance is anticipated. Math teacher Cha Ji-hye (played by Kim Ye-won) and trainee teacher Gong Moon-soo (played by Lee Si-woo) each send unrequited love signals to Seok Ji-won and Yoon Ji-won.
Moreover, Cha Ji-hye, Seok Ji-won, and Yoon Ji-won have been friends for 18 years. It is also hinted that Gong Moon-soo has a special connection with Yoon Ji-won from the past.
The beginning of a tenacious bad relationship is also present. Yoon Ji-won's grandfather, Yoon Jae-ho (played by Kim Kap-soo), had Seok Ji-won's grandmother, Ahn Soo-ja, as his first love. His son, Seok Kyung-tae (played by Lee Byung-joon), is determined to take revenge.
The characters of Dokmok High School are also noteworthy. It becomes the main stage for the adversary romance. Vice principal Kang Young-jae (played by Baek Hyun-joo) and Yoon Ji-won's close friend Maeng Soo-ah (played by Jeon Hye-jin) appear.
The chemistry between teachers and students also piques curiosity. Yoon Ji-won is set as the homeroom teacher for class 2-1 of Dokmok High School. An intriguing development is expected.
Meanwhile, "Love on a Single Log Bridge" tells the story of a man and a woman born into families at odds, who reunite after 18 years and dive into a war-like romance. It will premiere on the 23rd.
