Singer Cho Yong-pil's concert has sold out at lightning speed.
Cho Yong-pil will hold a performance titled "KBS Major Project for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation – This Moment Shall Last Forever" at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul on the 6th of next month.
The nation is buzzing with excitement. This is understandable as this concert marks his first solo stage in 28 years. The initial ticket application achieved a 100% reservation rate within just 3 minutes.
However, there has been controversy due to signs of ticket scalping observed on social media. Despite being a free concert, tickets are reportedly being sold for hundreds of thousands of won each.
In response, the production team has stepped in. They officially declared a "ban on illegal transactions," urging attendees to refrain from engaging in illegal activities and to enjoy the concert safely.
Measures will be taken to prevent scalping through enhanced verification procedures. "There will be a secondary identity check upon entry," they stated, warning that legal action will be taken against violators.
Ticket exchange rules have also been communicated. Attendees will have their identification checked twice on the day of the concert. Seat allocations will now be random instead of first-come, first-served.
The production team emphasized, "These measures are for the safe viewing experience of more people who love 'Cho Yong-pil and The Great Birth.' We ask for your understanding."
Meanwhile, Cho Yong-pil's concert will be available for viewing on KBS-2TV on October 6th.
