
Actor Jo Byeong-kyu is set to meet audiences on the big screen. His agency, HB Entertainment, announced on the 30th that "Jo Byeong-kyu has confirmed his appearance in the movie 'Finding Hidden Money' (directed by Kim Sol-mae)" and stated that he will take on the role of the main character, Kim Ji-hoon.
'Finding Hidden Money' is a comedy action film. The story revolves around young people who are cornered at the edge and engage in unpredictable chases with villains over crime proceeds of 15 billion won.
Jo Byeong-kyu has been cast as the tough man Kim Ji-hoon. Ji-hoon is a character who has postponed returning to school in order to make money. He drives a 1-ton truck nicknamed 'Bongorugini' and jumps into delivery work.
This role is expected to showcase a unique transformation in his acting. The agency expressed their anticipation, stating, "He is expected to portray the character with his unique delicate acting and cheerful interpretation, bringing depth to the role."
He made his debut in 2015 with 'Who Are You – School 2015'. Since then, he has demonstrated a wide acting spectrum through various works such as 'Sky Castle' and 'Amazing Rumor'.
Meanwhile, 'Finding Hidden Money' is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
