Constitutional Court, Unanimous Decision to Impeach Yoon Seok-yeol… The Second President to Be Impeached

The Constitutional Court, during the impeachment trial ruling held in the Grand Trial Chamber at 11 AM, unanimously agreed to uphold the National Assembly’s impeachment motion. As a result, former President Yoon became the second president in the history of the Republic of Korea to be impeached, following former President Park Geun-hye.
Former President Yoon stepped down 122 days after declaring what was known as a 'state of emergency' on December 3 of last year, and 111 days after the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion on December 14.
JK Kim Dong-wook has been one of the celebrities who publicly supported former President Yoon.
After the controversy surrounding the state of emergency arose last year, he stated, "Protecting the president is the way to protect the country," and when former President Yoon was arrested, he expressed strong concern saying, "The rule of law in the Republic of Korea is collapsing."
