'Choi Yang Suing' Ziyang, First Investigation Appearance After Reassignment

Famous YouTuber Ziyang (real name Park Jung-won) appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul in connection with a case where she accused Kim Se-yi, the head of the Garage and Vertical Research Institute, of threats and coercion. This is the first investigation conducted since the case was reassigned.

Park arrived at the police station around 9:20 AM wearing a gray hoodie and told reporters, "I hope the investigation is conducted fairly," adding, "I will speak the truth as it is."

Park's attorney, Kim Tae-yeon, explained that this investigation is a supplementary inquiry to reinforce the opinions previously submitted.

Earlier, Park had refused to participate in the investigation and left, raising issues about the police's investigative approach. At that time, Kim expressed dissatisfaction, stating, "There was insufficient consideration for the victim."

Park's side submitted a request for the reassignment of the investigating officer, leading to the case being reassigned to a different department.

The Gangnam Police Station dismissed some charges based on Park submitting a withdrawal of her complaint against Kim last February; however, Park's side has raised objections to this.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office is revisiting the case against Kim, who has been accused of violating the Information and Communication Network Act, as well as threats and coercion, and has demanded a supplementary investigation.

Kim is countering Park's claims that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend A, arguing that it constitutes defamation.
