On the 15th, the production team of JTBC's new weekend drama "Esquire: Lawyers Who Dream of Being Lawyers" (written by Park Mi-hyun, directed by Kim Jae-hong) revealed the casting lineup. Lee Jin-wook and Jung Chae-yeon will star in the series.
"Esquire: Lawyers Who Dream of Being Lawyers" (hereinafter referred to as "Esquire") is an office growth drama. It tells the story of a rookie lawyer who grows into a real attorney through their partnership with a seasoned lawyer.
Lee Jin-wook will play Yoon Seok-hoon, the partner lawyer and head of the litigation team. He is a perfectionist who allows no room for mistakes. In court, he exudes a cold charisma that puts pressure on his opponents.
Jung Chae-yeon will portray the junior lawyer Kang Hyo-min of the litigation team. She has a just and bold personality but struggles with social interactions. However, she shines in moments of crisis, showcasing her intuition and presence.
The main poster has also been unveiled, raising anticipation for the duo's courtroom adventure. Seok-hoon leads with a restrained expression, while Hyo-min embodies the youthful vigor befitting a newcomer.
There were also hints of their contrasting personalities. The phrases "Lawyering, cold" and "Lawyering, hot" suggest opposing temperaments, sparking curiosity about their combination.
The production team stated, "We showcased the contrasting charms of Seok-hoon, who values logic and reason, and Hyo-min, who embodies emotion and sincerity." They urged viewers to look forward to how these completely different characters will work together.
Meanwhile, "Esquire" is set to premiere on the 2nd of next month at 10:40 PM.
