BTS's Jin captivated Japanese listeners with his solo album certification.

On the 10th, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced the gold disc certification list for May. Jin received 'Gold' certification for his mini album 'Echo'.

'Gold' certification is granted to albums that have shipped over 100,000 copies based on cumulative shipment figures, one of the nine certification criteria set by the RIAJ.

This marks Jin's third solo work to receive such certification. His first single received 'Gold' certification, and his first album achieved 'Platinum' status (250,000 copies).

'Echo' recently made it onto several categories in the Billboard Japan's 2025 mid-year chart, ranking 18th in 'Download Album' and 20th in 'Top Album Sales'.

The agency stated, "It’s significant that we were included in the Billboard Japan’s mid-year chart based solely on the success of the first 10 days after the album's release."

Not only in Japan, but 'Echo' also claimed the 3rd spot on the US Billboard's main album chart, 'Billboard 200', and debuted at 63rd on the UK’s 'Official Top 100'.

The title track 'Don't Say You Love Me' is also gaining popularity, reaching 2nd place on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global'.

Meanwhile, BTS, of which Jin is a member, will hold a two-week 'BTS Festa' to celebrate their 12th anniversary on the 13th.
