'BTS' Jimin has added another Billboard record.
On the 29th (KST), Billboard announced on its website that Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' has ranked #2 on the 'Billboard 200' chart for the issue dated August 3rd.
The 'Billboard 200' is the main album chart, which ranks album sales based on physical album sales, streaming equivalent album units (SEA units), and track equivalent album units (TEA units).
According to Billboard, 'MUSE' sold 74,000 physical albums during the counting period. It also sold 15,000 SEA units and 7,000 TEA units, bringing the total sales to 96,000 units.
This marks the second entry for Jimin as a solo artist. Last year, his first solo album 'FACE' also placed #2 on the 'Billboard 200'. This makes it two consecutive albums that have ranked in the top tier of the chart.
The new release is also doing well on global music charts. The title track 'Who' has been #1 on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' for five consecutive days (from July 23rd to 27th).
Meanwhile, Jimin's 'MUSE' is an album that candidly narrates the journey of finding inspiration surrounding 'Me'. Upon its release, it topped the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in 87 countries/regions.
