'BTS' Jimin has showcased his prowess as a solo artist. He has dominated the main charts of Billboard with his new album.
Billboard announced on the 30th (local time) its latest charts dated August 3. Jimin ranked 2nd on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' with his solo second album 'Muse'.
That's not all. 'Muse' performed well on various other charts. It secured top positions on detailed charts such as 'Top Album Sales' (2nd) and 'Top Current Album Sales' (2nd).
The popularity of the title track 'Who' is also strong. It showcased its power by ranking 14th on the main song chart 'Hot 100', as well as 1st on 'Global 200', 'Global (Excl. U.S.)', and 'Digital Song Sales'.
Notably, its performance on the 'Global (Excl. U.S.)' chart stands out. 'Who' reached the top, and all seven tracks from the album, including 'Smell the Garden Marching Band' and 'Be Mine', charted.
This achievement has become an opportunity to demonstrate the presence of solo artist Jimin. He consecutively ranked high on 'Billboard 200' following his first solo album 'Face'.
In total, he has entered six songs on the 'Hot 100' as a solo artist. He also holds the record as the K-pop solo artist with the most number of 1st place (6 times) on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart.
His agency BigHit Music stated, "Such achievements were possible due to the artist's sincerity and consistent efforts without shortcuts," also sharing insights on Jimin’s vocal efforts.
Producer Pdogg mentioned, "Jimin is an artist who has an attractive attitude of constant effort. It is through these efforts that we can witness the growth in his musical journey."
Meanwhile, the title track 'Who' has maintained the top spot for seven consecutive days (from the 23rd to the 29th) on 'Spotify Daily Top Song Global', the world's largest music streaming platform.
