Jimin continues the popularity of "Who" with a remix album.
On the 22nd, BigHit Music announced through the global platform "Weverse" that Jimin will release a remix album of the title track "Who" from his second solo album "Muse".
"Who" is set to be released on the 23rd at 1 PM. The album will include the original version and the instrumental version, as well as acoustic, rock, Shibuya-kei, funky, and Beautiful Mind remixes.
Through the original song, Jimin brought out a sexy and bold feel. The acoustic remix accentuates sweetness, highlighting Jimin's charming voice.
The rock remix reinterprets the original track into the grunge rock genre. Thanks to the intense electric guitar and powerful drums, it exudes an even more intense energy compared to the original.
The Shibuya-kei remix is inspired by the Shibuya-kei genre, which dominated J-pop in the early 2000s. It fuses guitar and synthesizer sounds based on a lounge house style rhythm.
The funky remix features a disco rhythm typical of the electro-funk genre, with funky guitar and synthesizer sounds added. It offers a different charm from the original guitar performance.
Lastly, the Beautiful Mind remix interprets the emotions of the original song in a minimal and chill manner. Though calm, it produces a hopeful atmosphere with a bouncy rhythm.
Meanwhile, Jimin released his second solo album "Muse" worldwide on the 19th. The title track "Who" shot to No. 1 on iTunes' "Top Songs" chart in 112 countries/regions as of 9 AM on the 20th.
Jimin will debut his solo performance. He will appear on the popular U.S. TV program "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on NBC at 12:35 PM on the 23rd.
