Jimin of 'BTS' has set another record in Japan. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), Jimin's solo second album 'MUSE' received the Gold Disc 'Gold' certification. As of July, the cumulative shipments exceeded 100,000 copies.
The RIAJ awards certifications based on cumulative shipment volumes: Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), and Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies).
This marks Jimin’s second consecutive RIAJ certification. Previously, his solo first album 'FACE', released last year, earned a Platinum certification.
'MUSE' also performed well on Oricon charts. At the time of release, it ranked high in 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking' (1st), 'Weekly Album Ranking' (3rd), and 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' (3rd).
Meanwhile, 'MUSE,' released by Jimin, is an album that honestly explores the process of finding inspiration around 'me.' Shortly after its release, it topped the iTunes 'Top Album' chart in 87 countries/regions.
