Jeon Han-gil mocks Kim Sung-tae as a “bribery crime offender”… Kim Sung-tae retorts, “You insolent, sharp-tongued person.”

Kim Seong-tae's Debate with Jeon Han-gil

Former National Assembly member Kim Seong-tae strongly retaliated against Jeon Han-gil, a history instructor who criticized him as a "bribery criminal," saying, "Don't recklessly wag your uncouth tongue."

On the 22nd, Kim posted on his Facebook, pointing out that "the martial law that Mr. Jeon advocates is an anti-historical outrage."

He further criticized Jeon's claims by stating, "What you assert is nothing but a distorted historical perception based on irrational extreme right-wing extremism, not the rule of law, fairness, or common sense."

This response was triggered by Jeon's remark aimed at Kim, questioning, "Why are they not expelling him, even though he is a bribery criminal?"

Kim mentioned, "If the hiring opportunity for my non-regular daughter is considered bribery, then I fully bear the societal and political responsibility," referring to his past incident.

He emphasized, "Although this is an event that happened over 15 years ago, I am still making efforts to take responsibility, having already made two voluntary withdrawals from candidacy. At that time, the political revenge investigation by the Moon Jae-in administration's prosecution did not establish 'abuse of authority and obstruction of duty' related to hiring irregularities, leading to a not guilty disposition."

He expressed his anger, stating, "I did not undertake a hunger strike risking my life for over ten days just to hear such nonsense from a vulgar individual like you." He also admonished, "Our party, which should reflect and consider the anachronistic martial law, is being completely muddied by a single loach."
