Jung Han-gil Appeared in 'Pocksak Sogassuda' But Was Completely Edited Out
Korean history instructor Jung Han-gil made a special appearance in the Netflix original 'Pocksak Sogassuda,' but it was recently revealed that he was completely edited out.
Recently, attention has been drawn to Jung Han-gil's announcement in 2023 through his Korean history exam cafe, 'Jung Han-gil Korean History,' about his special appearance in 'Pocksak Sogassuda.'
In 'Pocksak Sogassuda,' which has been fully released, there was a role presumed to be Jung's special appearance as an 'internet instructor.' However, it was not him.
The storyline in 'Pocksak Sogassuda' features Yang Geum-myeong (IU), the daughter of Oh Ae-soon (Moon So-ri) and Yang Kwan-sik (Park Hae-joon), who becomes self-made, founding the online lecture company 'Everstudy' and even conducting broadcast lectures.

At that moment, it is reported that Jung appeared in a scene where Geum-myeong solicits an online lecture from an instructor in the 'instructor role.'
However, Netflix completely edited out Jung's appearance filmed two years ago.
This has led some to speculate whether Netflix and the production team's judgment was influenced by Jung's recent political statements.
In this regard, a representative from 'Pocksak Sogassuda' told the media, "It is true that Jung made a special appearance, but we conducted various edits and reshoots to present a higher-level work."

Meanwhile, Jung has been vocally opposing the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol.
He has expressed a strong willingness by stating, "I would willingly give my life," assuming a scenario where President Yoon's impeachment is accepted.

On the 14th of last month, he posted on his Korean history exam cafe, expressing fear that, "if dictatorship and totalitarianism are revived, freedom and democracy will disappear," adding, "If there are those who agree with insurrection, it means everyone has been gaslit by the Democratic Party and the media. It means you have been deceived."
The civic group 'Citizen Action for Judicial Justice' reported Jung on charges of incitement to insurrection, and the Southern Gyeonggi Police Agency has begun an investigation into the matter.
