The renowned American music magazine *Rolling Stone* announced its list of 'The Best Albums of 2025 So Far' on the 5th (local time). A total of 66 songs were selected, with Jennie as the only K-pop artist to make the list. She stands alongside global pop stars such as Lady Gaga, Drake, and Playboi Carti.
*Rolling Stone* praised, "Jennie offers an intriguing reinterpretation of the ideas that dominated R&B-inflected pop music in the 2000s and 2010s." The magazine noted that Jennie's work is inspired by Rihanna, stating, "She continues the lineage of self-reflection showcased in Rihanna's 2016 masterpiece 'Anti'."
'Ruby' is a solo album that encapsulates Jennie's musical identity. Through a diverse array of genres and concepts, she has proven her potential as a solo artist.
Previously, she set various records, dominating both domestic and international charts. This year, she recorded the highest initial sales for a K-pop female solo artist.
Meanwhile, Jennie is expected to return as a full group with BLACKPINK in the first half of the year.
