In the music video, Jennie traverses various locations in Seoul, surrendering herself to the rhythm under dreamy lighting and fully enjoying the essence of the city.
So far, Jennie has released an impressive seven music videos out of the total 15 songs included in "Ruby," showcasing her unique promotional strategy.
She has set a new milestone for K-pop. With her latest release, she achieved an initial sales volume of 661,130 copies, the highest first-week sales for a female solo artist in K-pop this year.
She has also captivated global charts, entering the Official UK Albums Chart at number three, marking the highest record for a K-pop female solo artist.
On the Billboard Hot 100 (as of March 22), her title track "Like Jennie," along with tracks "Handle Bar" and "Extra L," made it onto the chart. She became the first K-pop female solo artist to have three songs chart simultaneously.
