Jennie of 'BLACKPINK' graced the cover of the American music magazine Billboard Magazine. On the 9th (local time), Billboard Magazine released the January issue pictorial on its official website. The cover star is Jennie, along with an interview titled 'Fight with Myself: An In-depth Look at Jennie in the Making of Her Solo Album.'
Billboard introduced, "The world knows BLACKPINK's Jennie, but the soon-to-be-released (solo) debut album will reveal and showcase her true self."
The passion for music was palpable. Jennie said, "I listed the things I want in my life. I started figuring out exactly what the next step should be or setting priorities."
She continued, "Then I realized, 'I haven't achieved the dream of releasing a solo album yet.' I wanted to be satisfied by achieving that goal."
Last year, Jennie solidified her foundation as a solo artist. She first established her one-person agency OA Entertainment and also partnered with Columbia Records.
The solo track 'Mantra,' created in collaboration with a major American record label, gained significant popularity. It was praised for her confident and positive energy as a solo artist.
She expressed confidence, "As Jennie Ruby Jane, I want to complete myself as a whole person. When the album comes out, you'll definitely know what I mean."
Finally, she conveyed, "In the album, I play with various genres and elements, such as rapping, singing, harmonizing, and storytelling. I made sure the overall sound is something I love in every song."
