ZEROBASEONE captivates the archipelago with a special gift.
On the 29th, ZEROBASEONE released their first Japanese EP 'PREZENT.' The album includes six tracks, featuring double title songs.
The title track 'NOW OR NEVER' is a genre that combines drum and bass with rock sounds. It highlights emotional piano and energetic guitar melodies. The lyrics convey a heartfelt message: "Even when we're apart, I always keep my heart turned towards you, and finally, I've come back to you."
The second title track 'Only One Story' is a cheering song that encourages adventurers by saying, "Everything will surely be alright." This song was inserted as the opening track for the latest series of the popular Japanese TV animation 'Pokémon,' confirming the influence of ZEROBASEONE in the local area.
Additionally, the album includes 'Firework,' a disco house track characterized by its exhilarating melody, and 'Hana,' the group's first Japanese fan song expressing the members' heartfelt sincerity.
Korean tracks 'Feel the POP' and 'GOOD SO BAD' were re-recorded in Japanese, adding richness to the album.
ZEROBASEONE achieved half million-seller status within a week of their debut in the archipelago with their first Japanese single 'Yurayura – Unmeinohana' in March last year and received a double platinum certification.
This single also ranked number one in Tower Records' '2024 Bestseller K-Pop Top 20' and 16th in Billboard Japan's annual 'Top Single Sales' chart. What records will this album achieve?
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE is gearing up for a domestic comeback with the release of their 5th mini album on the 24th of next month, aiming for a dual success in both Korea and Japan.
