Japanese man in his 30s arrested for sexually assaulting a woman after invading a closed izakaya
A 35-year-old hotel cleaner was arrested by the police for sexually assaulting a woman who was sleeping after entering an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) that had closed for business in Shizuoka City, Japan.
According to reports from the local Japanese media Shizuoka TV on the 13th, Shizuoka police arrested the suspect, referred to as Mr. A, for trespassing and non-consensual molestation.

Mr. A is accused of illegally entering a closed izakaya located in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, in late May this year and fondling the breasts of a woman in her 20s who was sleeping inside.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the police upon realizing her body was being touched.
Details of the incident and the victim's situation
According to police investigations, the victim had a personal relationship with the owner of the izakaya and was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
It was confirmed that she was encouraged by the shop owner to rest inside the establishment for a while because her home was far away, and she was sleeping alone.

Mr. A reportedly came across the izakaya while passing by and discovered the woman sleeping alone, leading him to commit the crime.
It is reported that the entrance door of the izakaya was not locked at the time, which allowed Mr. A to easily enter. During the police investigation, Mr. A is said to have acknowledged all his charges.
