BTS has denied rumors of their involvement in a tribute project for the late Michael Jackson.
On the 5th, Big Hit Music posted an announcement titled "Guidance Regarding BTS's Participation in Michael Jackson Tribute Album" on their SNS. They issued an official statement as inquiries continued.
The agency clarified, "BTS has not visited the Grouse Lodge studio in Ireland or recorded at the location." They emphasized that related reports are "not true." Recently, the Irish edition of the British newspaper The Sun, known as The Irish Sun, cited an interview with a source, which sparked the rumors.
The agency stated, "We will continue to respond to prevent the spread of inaccurate information," and promised, "We will do our best to support our artists' activities in the future."
This rumor circulated after an interview with Paddy Dunning, the owner of Grouse Lodge studio, became known in Korea. He claimed, "BTS was invited here for recording."
He added concrete details that lent credibility to his claims, stating, "The session started last year, with at least 10 songs," and mentioned "famous artists participating."
Meanwhile, BTS is working on new music scheduled for release next spring. They are actively preparing for a full group comeback, including hosting a songwriting camp in the United States.
