
Ive is sweeping through Japan. They have dominated the local music charts.
According to the latest Oricon tally (as of the 11th), Ive has secured the top spot on the "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" with their third album, "Be Alright."
The "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" ranks albums based on CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming. With this new release, Ive has set a personal best record.
Oricon stated, "'Be Alright' surpassed the weekly points of their previous album 'Alive.' It is the highest record for a foreign female artist this year."
"Be Alright" also achieved first place on the "Weekly Album Ranking," thanks to physical album sales (approximately 165,000 copies). Ive has achieved a double crown on the Oricon weekly charts.
It's not just Oricon. The popularity of the new album continued to Billboard Japan. This album reached number one on the "Top Album Sales" announced by Billboard Japan on the 6th.
Ive has been ranked at the top of this chart for three consecutive albums. They have had significant hits with their first Japanese album "Wave," "Alive," and "Be Alright."
With high album sales, they have also made their mark on the Tower Records chart. "Be Alright" has secured the top position in the "Overall Album" category according to the latest Tower Records tally.
"Be Alright" consists of five tracks, including the title track that carries a hopeful message about moving forward.
Meanwhile, Ive is set to return to Korea. They will release their fourth mini-album "IVE SECRET" on the 25th at 6 PM.
