Actor Park Jung-min returns as an independence fighter. He takes on a new role in the movie ‘Harbin’ directed by Woo Min-ho. Distributor CJ ENM released character stills of Park Jung-min from ‘Harbin’ on the 21st, along with interviews featuring Park Jung-min and director Woo Min-ho. Park Jung-min plays the role of Woo Deok-soon, a loyal comrade who always supports Ahn Jung-geun (played by Hyun Bin).

In the stills, he exudes a charismatic gaze. Woo Deok-soon is a character reinterpreted with cinematic imagination from a real person. Therefore, Park Jung-min’s interpretation was crucial, and above all, his acting skills were essential. Park Jung-min stated, “I referred to the various historical records of Woo Deok-soon and focused on how to portray him in a way that best fits our film.”

This was his first collaboration with director Woo Min-ho. He mentioned, “Director Woo Min-ho’s bold and precise direction greatly helped during the acting process. It was very reassuring on set,” he said. Director Woo Min-ho also praised, “Woo Deok-soon seems rough but is charming for his delicate side. The depth of Woo Deok-soon’s character was possible because of Park Jung-min.”

‘Harbin’ is set in 1909. It depicts the thrilling chase and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those pursuing them. The movie is set to be released on the 25th of next month.
