Passengers in the Bus Unfurling Parasols Due to the Scorching Sun
During the sweltering summer, sitting by the window in a bus can feel unbearably humid, no matter how cool the air conditioning is.
In such situations, one usually has no choice but to move to a different seat or temporarily shield oneself with books or bags. However, a passenger unfolding a parasol in this scenario has been facing criticism from some netizens.
On the 11th, a post titled "Auntie Using a Parasol on the Bus… Survival Instinct vs Public Manners" was uploaded to the automotive specialist online community Bobae Dream.

The author, Mr. A, explained that "an auntie was using an unfolded parasol on the bus," noting, "Since strong sunlight was coming through the window, it seemed like she was trying to avoid the heat."
In the photo shared by Mr. A, a passenger can be seen actually holding a parasol. The moment captured was quite precarious, as the tip of the parasol seemed like it could hit the head of the passenger sitting next to her.
Mr. A, observing from the back seat, expressed discomfort, saying, "Of course, it might have been hot due to the sunlight, but honestly, using a parasol in public transport feels a bit inappropriate."
Opinions on the Use of Parasols in Buses Divided Among Netizens

Some netizens reacted with comments like, "It's just a fantasy; who actually uses a parasol on the bus?" and "That's really selfish," as well as "I feel ashamed for everyone," and "Let's distinguish between indoor and outdoor."
However, some netizens also expressed understanding for this behavior.
They commented, "Isn't it okay if she asked the person next to her for understanding?" and "The person taking secret photos without saying anything is more bizarre," while also acknowledging that "if you’re in the wrong seat, the sunlight can really be distressing."
