Irene of ‘Red Velvet’ has achieved a successful solo debut. On the 26th of last month, Irene released her first solo mini-album, ‘Like A Flower’. According to Hanteo Chart, the new release surpassed 330,000 copies in initial sales.

She entered the top 10 for female solo artist initial sales, ranking 7th following artists like BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Lisa, and (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi. The album also topped various charts. ‘Like A Flower’ ranked first on the Circle Chart retail album daily chart and number one on the iTunes top album chart in 23 regions/countries.

This new release is Irene’s first solo album in 10 years since her debut, featuring new songs across various genres such as dance, ballad, and R&B, based on pop. Meanwhile, Irene will appear on the YouTube channel ‘Hyo-yeon’s Level Up’, a web variety show titled ‘Senior Hyo-yeon Who Buys Meals Well’, on the 4th.
