The special investigation team for the insurrection case, led by Jo Eun-seok, has requested an arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk-yeol in connection with the investigation into charges of insurrection and foreign exchange related to the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law.'
The team, less than three weeks into the investigation that started on the 18th of last month, has taken a bold step to secure the custody of the former president, who has been identified as the central figure in the allegations.
On the afternoon of the 6th, Deputy Special Prosecutor Park Ji-young held a briefing at the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office and announced, "At 5:20 PM, we filed for an arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk-yeol on charges of abuse of power, preparation of false official documents, and obstruction of special public duty at the Seoul Central District Court."

Deputy Prosecutor Park stated, "I only mentioned three representative charges," and did not provide further details on the specific allegations.
Exclusion of Foreign Exchange Charges… "Investigation Ongoing"
The foreign exchange charges that were initially raised as suspicions have been excluded from this arrest warrant.
Deputy Prosecutor Park explained, "The foreign exchange charges are currently under investigation, and there is still a lot of investigation volume remaining, so they were not included in the criminal facts."
Earlier, former President Yoon Suk-yeol was summoned for questioning from 9 AM for 14 hours and 30 minutes and returned home at 11:30 PM.

The actual questioning ended at 6:34 PM, and the process of reviewing the statement took place for the next five hours. It is reported that former President Yoon denied most of the allegations raised by the special investigation team.
