The animation 'Inside Out 2' (directed by Kelsey Mann) is enjoying long-term box office success. It topped the weekend box office. The movie 'Escape' (directed by Lee Jong-pil) is following closely behind.

According to the integrated computer network for movie tickets by the Korean Film Council, 'Inside Out 2' drew 906,386 viewers last weekend (5-7). The cumulative audience count is 6,917,913.

'Inside Out 2' reached the top of the box office upon its release on the 12th of last month. It has maintained its position for four consecutive weeks.

The box office success is expected to continue. As of 8:30 a.m. that day, the real-time reservation rate for 'Inside Out 2' was 38.3%, leading the charts. Approximately 180,000 tickets have already been sold.

It is on the verge of surpassing 7 million viewers. As of 8:30 a.m. on the 8th, the real-time reservation rate for 'Inside Out 2' is 17%. Approximately 33,000 audience members have already been secured.

'Inside Out 2' is a sequel that comes 9 years after the original, featuring the story of 13-year-old Riley. New emotions such as 'anxiety', 'embarrassment', 'boredom', and 'envy' appear in the emotion control center of her mind.

Meanwhile, the movie 'Escape' (directed by Kim Sung-an) is closely trailing 'Inside Out 2'. It ranked second in the box office during the same period, with 529,753 viewers. The total audience count is 737,707.

'Escape' is a film centered on a North Korean soldier named Gyunam (played by Lee Je-hoon). It tells the story of Gyunam risking his life to escape and North Korean security officer Hyunsang (played by Koo Kyo-hwan) who pursues him.
