President Lee Jae-myung Proposes Improvement of Briefing System Sparked by a Single Comment

It has been reported that a single comment accidentally discovered by President Lee Jae-myung on social media has led to a comprehensive improvement in the briefing methods at the Presidential Office.

On the 8th, President Lee announced through his X account, "I came across a proposal through a comment by chance, and I deemed it meaningful enough to implement."

President Lee emphasized the importance of communication, stating, "The various opinions left by the public contain hands-on ideas and practical solutions, and I always listen carefully and take them into account."

He added, "If you provide fresh and beneficial opinions, I will actively consider and reflect them in the future."

Introduction of 'Interactive' Briefing System to Enhance Transparency

On the same day, the Presidential Office announced during a briefing that it would be improving its existing one-way briefing method.

Previously, the format only featured spokespersons and officials on screen; however, it will now transition to an 'interactive' method that publicly displays the questions from reporters and the situation on-site.

Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung stated, "We will improve the Presidential Office briefing room system in line with President Lee Jae-myung's national governance philosophy, which prioritizes communication and listening with the people."

She explained, "To vividly convey the interaction between the President and the media from various angles, we plan to install four additional cameras."

The spokesperson further elaborated that this change is "based on President Lee Jae-myung's proposal to enhance the public's right to know and briefing transparency."

The new briefing system is set to be fully operational after the contracting and camera installation process, expected to begin around mid-June.
