When searching for President Jae-myung Lee's name on the famous education company's learning pad, an unexpected answer came up.

According to 'JTBC News' on the 12th, Mr. Kim, who has elementary school children, was examining the learning pad that his child uses just before the presidential election when he was taken aback.

The learning pad features an artificial intelligence (AI) teacher that provides answers. When the child searched for President Jae-myung Lee's name (then the Democratic Party's presidential candidate), an unexpected response was returned.

The AI teacher asked, "Did you have any questions while studying? Ask my teacher," and the child typed 'Jae-myung Lee' into the search bar.

Then, the phrase "Analyzing the question…" appeared on the screen, followed shortly by the answer, "It is a death sentence."

In contrast, when searching for the names of Kim Moon-soo, the candidate from the People Power Party, and Lee Jun-seok from the Reform Party, the response was "Unknown question," along with Wikipedia content.

Mr. Kim expressed concern, stating, "In my case, I told my child, 'This is wrong,' but this learning pad is not just for my child; many children use it. Some children may accept this answer without question."

The education company clarified, "The response is not about the politician Jae-myung Lee, but rather information regarding independence activist Lee Jae-myung from the textbook."

Learning pad gives the answer as 'Lee Jae-myung' when asked about President Jae-myung Lee.

Independence activist Lee Jae-myung is known for being sentenced to death in 1910 for injuring the traitor Lee Wan-yong and subsequently passing away.

It is reported that when sentenced to death, Lee Jae-myung warned the Japanese judge, "If you execute me now, I will die and reincarnate as countless Jae-myung Lee’s to bring ruin upon your Japan."

Before his execution, he left a final statement saying, "If the foreign enemy's leader who robbed the nation is Hirobumi Ito, the internal traitor who sold the nation is Lee Wan-yong."

The company explained that when a student asks a question, the program responds based on the data stored in its own database, which only contains information about independence activist Lee Jae-myung.

They indicated that "since the user input just the name Jae-myung Lee, the program could not discern the user's exact intention, and the response deemed most similar was displayed."

As investigation began, the company temporarily suspended this feature, stating that they would proceed with overall improvements, including refining the answer contents.
