The couple found 30-year-old Dylan Patrick Yelkovan inside their home, shirtless.

Despite the sudden appearance of the homeowners, Yelkovan calmly stated, "I was just tidying up the house," while packing his belongings without showing any signs of surprise.

He moved freely in and out of the room while dressing, as if he were in his own home.

Liu explained, "At first, I thought he had mistakenly entered the wrong house. I was shocked to see a stranger standing in our home without a shirt. I was afraid he might have a knife or do something terrible."

Yelkovan fled through the balcony, but Liu managed to capture him with the help of the apartment manager nearby. He was subsequently detained on charges of unlawful entry.

Investigations revealed that Yelkovan had unlawfully entered the couple's home while they were on vacation and lived there for about a week, using the homeowners' belongings without permission.

His clothes were found to be stained with foreign substances, and there were traces of feces in the toilet. Additionally, he had decorated the apartment using a wine bottle as a vase for flowers he had picked from outside.

Yelkovan even unlawfully used Koo's credit card. Transaction records confirmed that he had stayed in the house for about a week.

Koo received refunds for the unlawfully used amounts through the bank, but the couple had to dispose of nearly all the items Yelkovan had used.

Moreover, during the week they hired a professional cleaning service for their home, they incurred additional expenses of approximately $2,000 (about 2.72 million KRW) for hotel accommodations.

As a result of this incident, Yelkovan was sentenced to 9 months in prison along with an Intensive Correction Order (ICO). He is currently reported to be under strict supervision, including a restriction on visiting specific locations such as Liu’s apartment.

Additionally, Yelkovan is said to be facing multiple charges, including reckless driving, violation of a domestic violence restraining order, and fraud, aside from the charge of unlawful entry.
