'BLACKPINK' Lisa attended the '2025 Met Gala'. She showcased a stunning red carpet look, but the printing on her lower garment became a point of contention. The face of a U.S. civil rights activist used in the design sparked controversy.

Lisa attended the '2025 Met Gala' on the 6th of this month at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The theme for the event was 'Black Style High Fashion'. It felt like a 007 operation, starting from the hotel. She departed for the venue wearing a long coat that covered her ankles.

On the red carpet, it was nothing short of shocking. Lisa is the ambassador for the luxury brand 'Louis Vuitton'. On this day, she wore a custom-designed bodysuit by pop star and creative director Pharrell Williams.

The issue lay with the printing on her lower garment. The Daily Mail pointed out on the 6th (Korean time) that "a face resembling the late civil rights activist Rosa Parks is embroidered on Lisa's pants."

Parks was a pivotal figure in the fight against racial discrimination during the 1950s, famously opposing the segregation of bus seating for African Americans. She succeeded in obtaining a Supreme Court ruling that deemed such regulations unconstitutional.

In response, Louis Vuitton explained on the 6th to the American entertainment magazine 'The Cut', "The printing is a work by artist Henry Taylor. He creates portraits of people he has encountered in his life."

When asked whether Rosa Parks was included in the printing, they clarified, "Taylor is known for depicting both famous and less famous faces in his works."

Meanwhile, the Met Gala has been held since 1948 as a fashion event to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, K-pop artists including 'BLACKPINK' members Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie, as well as SEVENTEEN's S.Coups, attended in large numbers.
