Hongjoong from 'ATEEZ' is conducting a warm-hearted donation event for his birthday this year. Together with ATINY (fan club name), he spread positive influence.
On the 7th, for his birthday, Hongjoong expressed, "Whatever I do with ATINY seems to leave a lasting and deep impression on my memory or heart. I thought it would be nice to join in a campaign with a good cause."
Hongjoong is participating in the '2024 Global 6K for Water Running' campaign virtual run with ATINY. This event, a representative drinking water support initiative by 'World Vision', helps children around the world who walk 6km daily to get water.
Applications were received through KQ Entertainment's dedicated app 'Toktok'. Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, and ATINY joined in. Hongjoong also shared a photo of himself participating in a night run.
Since 2022, Hongjoong has spent meaningful birthdays with his fans. At that time, he held his first personal photo exhibition 'From November 7, 1998'. He supported low-income children aspiring for music activities.
In 2023, he showcased his photo exhibition 'Worker A'. Adding personal funds to the proceeds from the exhibition, he donated to the Korea Children's Leukemia Foundation.
Beyond his birthday, Hongjoong continues to show interest in supporting underprivileged groups. In March, he participated in a global drinking water project, and in May, he made a donation in celebration of Children's Day.
He was also appointed as a member of the 'Bob Pierce Honor Club'. The Bob Pierce Honor Club is a group of high-value donors with accumulated donations of over 100 million won.
As a way to give back the love from fans, Hongjoong will hold a live broadcast in celebration of his birthday at 9 PM. He plans to create happy memories with ATINY through the official YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, ATEEZ is set to make their comeback with their mini 11th album 'Golden Hour: Part 2' on the 15th.
