"Election landscape is a mess, Lee Jae-myung is a liar"

When asked to summarize the People Power Party candidates in five words, he answered "a honest person," and he referred to Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung as a "liar." He evaluated, "Claiming basic income while calling himself a conservative and expressing admiration for former President Park Geun-hye shows a lack of consistency."

In response to candidate Ahn Cheol-soo's request for a joint apology regarding the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, he left room for consideration by saying, "At the time, I was in a position unrelated to central politics (as the mayor of Daegu), so if necessary, I can consider it after becoming a candidate."

Candidate Hong identified his strengths as 'initiative,' 'ability to communicate and unify,' and 'experience in governing the country.' He stated that if elected president, he would invite reporters on the first day for an open discussion on national policy direction. He also mentioned plans to establish regular communication sessions with the press covering the Blue House on a quarterly basis.
