'Hi-Five' topped the overall box office on its release date (May 30) and has maintained the number one spot for Korean films at the box office, along with a high seat sales rate.

'Hi-Five' is the fifth Korean film released this year to reach 1 million viewers, following 'Hitman 2', 'Black Nuns', 'Victory', and 'The Opposition'. It achieved this milestone two days faster than 'Victory' (11th). The film gained positive word of mouth even amid strong competitors like 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning'.
