According to Yonhap News on the 14th, the Jeju West Police Station has sent a 40-year-old individual, referred to as A, to the prosecution without detention on suspicions of violating the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).

A is accused of installing a total of two miniature cameras, one each in the women’s restroom and on the desks of female employees at the small to medium-sized enterprise where he worked, illegally filming female employees from early 2024 to July 2025.

A was caught when a female employee using the restroom discovered a hidden miniature camera in a tissue box on the 21st of last month.

Following this, A voluntarily reported his crimes to the police.

It has been revealed that A connected the secretly installed miniature cameras to his mobile phone and conducted illegal filming in real-time.

Currently, at least two victims have been confirmed.

The police confiscated A's mobile phone and conducted a digital forensic analysis, through which they secured numerous photos and video evidence, leading to A being sent to the prosecution without detention.
