The movie "Snowfall" (directed by Yoon Soo-ik) has confirmed its release for this October.
Distributor Pan Cinema announced on the 5th the news of the October release of "Snowfall" and unveiled a teaser poster. The mysterious and sensuous winter visuals capture attention.
In the poster, Han Hae-in and Han So-hee are standing side by side against the backdrop of snowy mountains and the rough waves of the winter sea. The tranquil and dreamy image is further enhanced.
The captions, “On that day, we buried ourselves in each other” and “This October, Su-an meets Seol-yi,” also draw attention. The emotional pull and push between the characters foreshadow perfect chemistry.
"Snowfall" is a story about the friendship and love between two women. It follows Su-an (played by Han Hae-in), an aspiring actress, building a relationship with teen star Seol-yi (played by Han So-hee).
It marks Han So-hee's debut film and garnered attention. It was first unveiled at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival last year. All tickets sold out within a minute of opening.
It also received love calls from international film festivals. It was invited to the London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival hosted by the British Film Institute, the Hamburg Film Festival, and the Rome Asian Film Festival.
Han So-hee plays Seol-yi, a former child star who lives a life as cold as winter. She feels special emotions towards Su-an, who brought warmth into her life.
Han Hae-in takes on the role of Su-an, an aspiring actress with an uncertain future. She feels confused by her connection with Seol-yi, who crashes into her daily life like a snowstorm.
Director Yoon Soo-ik was responsible for both the script and direction. It is his new work in 10 years since "Groggy Summer," and it has received praise for delving into the boundary between fantasy and reality.
