Most Areas in the Country Forecasted to See Rain, with Hot Weather Around 30 Degrees in the Capital Region and Inland Gangwon
On Tuesday, the 24th, rain is expected in most areas of the country.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the rain zone is expected to gradually expand from Jeju Island to the southern and central regions. In particular, the capital region and inland Gangwon are forecasted to experience hot and humid weather with daytime temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.

The rain is predicted to start in Jeju Island and expand to the Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do regions from dawn, while it will spread to the southern parts of North Jeolla Province and North Gyeongsang Province in the morning, then to southern Gyeonggi Province and central and southern inland Gangwon, Chungcheong Province, and northern Gyeongsang Province in the afternoon. By night, rain is also expected in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi Province, and Gangwon Province (excluding inland central and southern parts).

The duration of rain will vary by region: Jeju is expected to see rain until morning today, while Jeollanam-do will have rain until dawn tomorrow (25th), the western coast of North Jeolla until tomorrow morning, Gyeongsangnam-do until the afternoon, and most other areas in the country until tomorrow night, with rain expected to mostly cease afterward.
The expected precipitation amounts are forecasted to be 20-60 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, while Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do are expected to receive 30-80 mm of relatively heavier rain.
In contrast, Jeju Island and the five islands in the Yellow Sea are expected to receive relatively low amounts of rain, measuring only 5-20 mm.

In the southern region, strong rainfall between 10-20 mm per hour is expected from morning to evening, and in the central region, strong rain will occur from late afternoon, with the possibility of strong winds accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas, necessitating caution.

In the capital region, Chungnam, the southern coast of Jeollanam-do, and the coast of Gyeongsangnam-do, wind gusts are expected to reach around 55 km/h in places.
Most maritime areas are forecasted to experience strong winds along with thunder and lightning, requiring special attention to maritime safety incidents.
There will be areas of sea fog mainly in the East Sea and the South Sea, with particularly thick fog of visibility less than 200 meters in island areas, potentially disrupting maritime transport.
Higher than Average Temperatures, with Heat Around 30 Degrees in the Capital Region

Temperatures are expected to be similar to or slightly higher than the average (minimum 17-20 degrees, maximum 24-28 degrees). In particular, daytime temperatures in the capital region and inland Gangwon are forecasted to rise to around 30 degrees Celsius (perceived temperature over 31 degrees), leading to hot weather.
Daytime highs in major regions are forecasted to be 30 degrees in Seoul, 29 degrees in Incheon, 30 degrees in Suwon, 29 degrees in Chuncheon, 27 degrees in Gangneung, 29 degrees in Cheongju, 27 degrees in Daejeon, 26 degrees in Jeonju, 25 degrees in Gwangju, 25 degrees in Daegu, 24 degrees in Busan, and 28 degrees in Jeju.
Meanwhile, fine dust levels are expected to remain at 'good' levels across all regions in the country.
