Heavy Rain Advisory Area Train Service Suspension

Train services are temporarily suspended on some railway sections in the Daejeon and Chungnam areas where a heavy rain advisory has been issued.

On the 17th, Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced that train operations on major routes would be halted due to worsening weather conditions.

According to KORAIL, regular train services are suspended on the section between Seoul Station and Daejeon Station of the Gyeongbu Line, the section between Cheonan Station and Iksan Station of the Janghang Line, and the section between Hongseong Station and Anjung Station of the Seohae Line.

Additionally, the subway line 1 electric trains will stop operating between Pyeongtaek Station and Sinchang Station.

A KORAIL official stated, "We urge train passengers to check the train operation status in advance through KORAIL Talk or our website." He added, "The resumption of operations may vary depending on weather conditions."

Passengers planning to use the affected sections are expected to experience inconvenience due to the suspension of train services.

Therefore, it is advisable for passengers intending to travel by train to verify the operation information before departure.

KORAIL announced that it would resume train operations as soon as weather conditions improve.
