Heatwave-related Death During Orchard Work
A tragic incident occurred in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, where a man in his 60s died, presumably from heat-related illness, while working in an orchard under extreme heat.
According to the police and fire authorities, at around 2 PM on the 2nd, a man in his 60s, referred to as Mr. A, was found unconscious near an orchard in Yongin.
An immediate report was made upon his discovery, and Mr. A was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by the responding emergency team, but he ultimately passed away.
Risks of Agricultural Work Under Extreme Heat
On-site reports indicate that Mr. A collapsed suddenly while resting under a shade structure to escape the heat after working in the orchard.
The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding Mr. A's death.
